Terms of Service for Crop Image Lite

Terms of Service - Crop Image Lite

Terms of Service

Application: Crop Image Lite
Provider: Arum Communications Corp.
Effective date: 2026-07-25

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Crop Image Lite mobile application ("the App" or "the Service"), provided by Arum Communications Corp. ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The Service

The App lets you crop, rotate, straighten, and batch-process photos, capture a new photo with your camera to crop, and combine several photos into a collage. All editing operations run on your device. The App does not upload your photos or their contents to our servers.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on a device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, or lease any part of the App;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, except as permitted by law;
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels;
  • Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our services or those of our third-party providers;
  • Use the App to violate any applicable law or regulation, or to infringe the rights of others.

4. Your Content and Edited Images — Important Warning

You are solely responsible for the photos you edit and save. Editing and saving through the App may alter or overwrite image files, and such changes may be irreversible. We strongly recommend that you keep a backup of original photos before editing. We are not liable for any loss of, or damage to, data, files, or media resulting from your use of the App.

You retain all rights to the images you import, edit, and export with the App. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to the photos you process, and that your use of the App does not infringe the rights of any third party.

5. Permissions

The App requires access to your device's photos and camera in order to load the images you select, capture new photos, and save your cropped or edited results. You can review or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings; doing so may limit or disable App functionality.

6. Free Usage Allowance

The free version of the App allows a limited number of image operations (single crop, each image of a batch crop, camera crop, and collage save) within each 24-hour period. When the allowance is used up, you can wait for the next period or upgrade to premium to remove the limit. The allowance is tracked locally on your device, and we may change the allowance from time to time.

7. Purchases and In-App Purchases

Some features of the App, the removal of the free usage limit, and the removal of ads are available only through a paid premium purchase. Premium purchases may be offered as an auto-renewing subscription and/or a one-time purchase, and are processed by Google Play Billing and managed through RevenueCat.

  • Billing: Fees are charged to your Google account at confirmation of purchase and, for subscriptions, at the start of each renewal period, at the price displayed in the App at the time of purchase.
  • Auto-renewal (subscriptions): Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Google Play account settings.
  • Free trials and promotions: If a free trial or promotional period is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase, unless required otherwise by law.
  • Refunds: Refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policy and any non-waivable rights you may have under your local law. We generally cannot issue refunds directly; please contact Google Play support for refund requests.
  • Restore purchases: If you reinstall the App or change devices, you can use the "Restore Purchases" function to reactivate a purchase tied to your Google account.
  • Price changes: We may change prices from time to time. Where required by law, we will give you advance notice and the opportunity to cancel before the new price takes effect.

8. Advertising

The free version of the App is supported by advertising delivered by Google AdMob and through Unity LevelPlay mediation (formerly ironSource), which may serve ads from Unity Ads, the ironSource ad network, and Meta Audience Network. Ad selection may use device identifiers and information about your device and the App. Purchasing the premium upgrade removes ads from the App.

9. Third-Party Services

The App integrates third-party services, including Google Play Services, Google AdMob, Unity LevelPlay mediation, Unity Ads, ironSource, Meta Audience Network, the Google User Messaging Platform (consent), Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Play Billing, and RevenueCat. Your use of those services is also governed by the applicable third-party terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services and do not control their content, policies, or practices.

10. User Conduct

You agree not to use the App to:

  • Engage in any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or harassing activity;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App or its related systems;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App;
  • Distribute viruses, malware, or any other malicious code through or in connection with the App.

11. Intellectual Property

The App and all related content, including but not limited to source code, designs, graphics, icons, text, and trademarks, are the property of Arum Communications Corp. or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license granted in Section 3, no rights are granted to you.

12. Updates and Availability

We may release updates, bug fixes, or new versions of the App from time to time. We may also modify or discontinue the App or any feature, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT EDITING, CROPPING, OR EXPORT OPERATIONS WILL ALWAYS PRODUCE RESULTS THAT MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL ARUM COMMUNICATIONS CORP., ITS AFFILIATES, OR ITS LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) USD 10.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Arum Communications Corp. and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms. You may terminate these Terms at any time by uninstalling the App. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will survive.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Republic of Korea, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the App. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

19. Contact Us

If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at developer@arumarum.com.

Privacy Policy for Crop Image Lite

Privacy Policy - Crop Image Lite

Privacy Policy

Application: Crop Image Lite
Provider: Arum Communications Corp.
Effective date: 2026-07-25

Arum Communications Corp. ("we", "us", "our") built the Crop Image Lite app ("the Service") as a free, ad-supported application with an optional paid premium upgrade. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use the Service, and the choices you have associated with that information.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Process

1.1 Information processed only on your device

The Service lets you crop, rotate, straighten, and batch-process photos, take a new photo with your camera to crop, and combine several photos into a collage. To do this, the app reads:

  • The photos you select from your gallery, or the photo you capture with the camera, so they can be displayed and edited
  • File metadata (file name, file path, file size, modification date) of the images you choose to edit
  • The MediaStore content URIs needed to load the images you pick and to save the cropped or edited output back to your device

This information stays on your device. The cropping, rotation, straightening, batch processing, and collage composition all happen locally on your device. We do not upload your photos, file names, file paths, thumbnails, or edited results to any server operated by us. Cropped and edited images are saved to your device's gallery (photo storage) and remain under your control.

The free version of the app allows a limited number of image operations within each 24-hour period. To enforce this, the app keeps a simple counter and timestamp in its own local preferences on your device. This counter contains no personal information and is not transmitted to us; it is removed when you clear the app's data or uninstall the app.

1.2 Permissions used

PermissionPurpose
CAMERA Capture a new photo so you can crop and edit it. Used only when you choose the camera option.
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES (Android 13+) Read photos from device storage so you can select images to crop and edit.
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 12 and below) Same purpose as above on older Android versions.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 12 and below) Required to save your cropped and edited images to device storage on legacy Android versions.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+) Display notifications, such as update or informational messages delivered via push.

1.3 Information collected by third-party services

The app uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you or your device. These services may collect data such as device identifiers (Android Advertising ID), IP address, device model, operating system version, app version, language, country, crash logs, push notification tokens, and aggregated usage events. Please review each provider's privacy policy linked in Section 4 below.

Advertising in the app is provided by Google AdMob. To select, deliver, measure, and limit the frequency of ads, the advertising SDK may collect and process the device's advertising identifier, IP address (and coarse location derived from it), device and operating-system information, app version, language, country, and ad impression, click, and interaction data. See Section 4 for the applicable privacy policy.

A portion of the advertising in the app is also delivered through Unity LevelPlay (formerly ironSource), an advertising mediation platform operated by Unity Technologies (ironSource Ltd., a Unity company). LevelPlay mediation decides in real time which ad network fills each ad request and may serve ads from Unity Ads (Unity's advertising network), the ironSource ad network, Meta Audience Network (operated by Meta Platforms, Inc.), and Google AdMob. To select, deliver, measure, and cap the frequency of these ads, the LevelPlay, Unity Ads, ironSource, and Meta Audience Network SDKs may collect and process the device's advertising identifier, IP address (and coarse location derived from it), device and operating-system information, app version, language, country, and ad impression, click, and interaction data. Unity, ironSource, and Meta process this information as described in their privacy policies linked in Section 4.

1.4 Subscription and purchase information

If you purchase a premium upgrade, the transaction is processed by Google Play Billing and managed through RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your full payment instrument (e.g., credit card number). We receive an anonymous subscriber ID, purchase tokens, entitlement status, and purchase metadata such as country and product ID, in order to grant and validate your premium entitlement (for example, to remove ads and lift the free usage limit for premium users).

2. How We Use Information

  • To provide the core cropping, rotating, straightening, batch processing, and collage functionality (locally on your device).
  • To deliver advertising, including non-personalized ads where required by law or by your consent choice.
  • To send notifications relevant to the app where you have allowed them.
  • To measure app performance, diagnose crashes, and improve stability.
  • To validate and manage premium purchases.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal Basis (EEA/UK Users)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on (a) your consent for advertising, analytics, and crash reporting that involve personal data, collected through the consent form shown on first launch; (b) the performance of a contract for purchase processing; and (c) our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service. You can change your consent at any time from the in-app privacy settings.

4. Third-Party Service Providers and Their Privacy Policies

We use the following third-party services. Each link below leads to that provider's privacy policy and, where applicable, its description of the data it collects and how it is used.

5. Advertising and Your Choices

Ads are served by Google AdMob and through Unity LevelPlay mediation (which may deliver ads from Unity Ads, the ironSource ad network, and Meta Audience Network). These services may use the Android Advertising ID to deliver, measure, and limit the frequency of ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time:

  • On Android: open Settings → Google → Ads and toggle "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization".
  • For EEA, UK, or Swiss users, you may withdraw or change your advertising consent through the in-app privacy options, which re-displays the consent form.
  • Purchasing the premium upgrade removes ads from the app.
  • Learn more: Advertising ID, Google Ad Settings.

6. Push Notifications

The app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications. To do this, a unique device registration token is generated and processed by Google. You can disable notifications at any time from your device's system settings for the app, and on Android 13 and above you may decline the notification permission when prompted.

7. Log Data

When the app crashes or encounters an error, third-party tools (Firebase Crashlytics) may collect diagnostic data including device IP, device model, operating system version, app configuration at the time of the error, and the time and date of the event. This information is used solely to diagnose and resolve issues.

8. Cookies

The Service does not itself use cookies. However, third-party SDKs embedded in the app may use cookie-equivalent identifiers (such as advertising IDs) to provide their services.

9. Data Retention

  • Photos are processed transiently for editing and are not retained by us; cropped and edited images you save are stored in your own device gallery and remain under your control.
  • Temporary working files created during editing are kept only in the app's cache and are removed when the cache is cleared or when you uninstall the app.
  • The local usage counter used to enforce the free allowance is stored only in the app's own preferences and is removed when you clear the app's data or uninstall the app.
  • Purchase records are retained by RevenueCat and Google Play Billing for as long as required to maintain your entitlement and for legal/accounting purposes.
  • Crash, analytics, advertising, and push notification data are retained according to each provider's standard retention periods.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (EEA, UK, California, etc.), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

11. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the limited information processed through the Service. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

12. Links to Other Sites

The Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. These external sites are not operated by us. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

13. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it from our records. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take the necessary action.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective date" at the top.

15. Contact Us

If you have any questions or suggestions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at developer@arumarum.com.
